Thank you, Gianlucio, this one did take a bit of time. I have a few others with the same kind of deal of layering in squares. I need to get a better photo, though. The part which appears white is a silver paint.

I am glad you like it and thank you for commenting.

I jumped in your blog from Gianlucio's blog. I like your "contemplation", "Dancing in the night" and "It's about time" very much.
I also paint for hobby and for passion, but my painting is far from yours: Fundamentally I'm oneiric and surrealist even if from time to time I also try informal painting.
Visit me ! I'll be glad to have your viewpoint, even if negative .... Critical opinions make one grow up better than congratulations.
My blog is lartedinadia.blogspot.com Ciaoooooooooooo

Thank you for stopping by. Isn't Gianlucio so kind? I am glad he sent you my way. Actually, I write another blog on a more regular basis than this one where a lot of discussion happens. I would love to have you join me there.

Dear Kim,
Thanks for having visited my blog lartedinadia. I will visit your blog creatingspace as soon as possible. So, besides discussing of art, I will make practice of English. It will be certainly very stimulating to share opinions with other artists and people leaving overseas. Ciaooooooooooooooo

Kim, this work- I've seen it maybe in your other blog, Creating Space...is incredible. It feels suggestive but with weight...and the square/recs are satisifying to the eye...clean too...like a just finished house project. (I can go on!) Thank you for your long comment on our Oasis blog...your insight and reflection reaches home with me...and you have a great deal of balanced experience with this emotion vs rational thought topic. Thank you again dear creative and intelligent, Kim! (I do admire your life!) <3

Hello Nadia,

I look forward to your visit to Creating Space. I think you will find everyone there very eager to hear what you have to say. If you have any trouble in English, well we have someone who might be able to help out... as there are people talking there from many different places...with your Excellent command of English I am sure we will get it all figured out.

I love to talk about and make art!

Thanks Nadia!

Hello Cynthia,

I feel as though sometimes we have to live some challenging times in life in order to bring to the fore what we need to share. I am glad you brought this subject up, too.

Also, I am glad you like this painting. It is really different for me, although I have some other ideas brewing in the back of my head. I keep thinking about its meaning and it keeps changing. I know the structure is related to my interior design life, though.

Thanks Cynthia...I love your comments!

Hugs!

I'm glad I found your blog! I really like the pattern and colors in this one--it always amazes me when artists can take simplistic shapes and create complex and beautiful pieces. This is wonderful!

Hello Kim!

I'll check out your other blog in just a moment, I just wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog. I prefer using magazines for my collages--the vast majority of them are created from magazine cut-outs. And I actually don't go to the Corcoran--I recently graduated from a school in North Carolina and now I'm back in D.C (I grew up in northern VA) working and trying to aspire to become a full-time artist.

Your work is quite lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing to seeing more posts.

Hello Megan,

I am glad you popped over to the other blog. I am a bit mum these days, but I suppose that is to be expected of us, right?

Ah, my mistake. I thought you were still in school...not just out. That is great. It seems to take a lot to become a full-time artist. At least that is the way it has been for me and some others I know.

So you are back home now. How cool is that?

I hope to talk to you more soon.
